Trip To Fort Leonard Wood, MO.
As every one knows Vic and I lost our son, SSG Travis Tompkins, in the war on Terroist last March. Sept. 20th there was a annual service at the Military Police Grove at Ft. Leonard Wood to honor the MP's that have been KIA since last Sept. Our family and others were there to place a brick with our loved ones honored on it into the Memorial Walk around the Grove. It was time spent in remembering and bonding with others, both military and family of those lost.
I show these pictures of a very special place to visit sometime during your travels. The Post has many museums and lots of history. The area around here is mountains and valley's with running streams land covered with forests. So beautiful and there are lots of things to see that make it a good vacation distination. One place we were told to go and eat was The Cave. I and the rest of our family loved this place! Very different to say the least. I highly recommend if you are ever near this area you need to stop in.
