Pledge of Allegiance
Grant asks Wes to lead us in the pledge.
Patches/Emblems
Paula has been looking for a COY Patch that she and Tom can wear to various functions as they do their COY thing. She found that these patches can only be ordered from the Chapter Directors. She also found that the Chapter should be purchasing the patches for their COYs. Also, the patches are purchased from the State District Director and not from the National office.
Kathy asked if anyone was interested in getting any patches for themselves. Pins, rockers and all the other things are available to order. Grant passed a sheet around with all the available items to buy. Let he or Kathy know and they will order them.
Tour Oklahoma
Grant received information from Stillwater regarding all the stops for this year's Tour Oklahoma. Tour Oklahoma costs $10 per person, which includes the meal in January. If you want to get involved with the Tour, give your $10 to Grant or Kathy and your booklets will come back to them.
There are 200 people participating up to this moment in time. First place will be $500, 2nd place $350, and 3rd $150. The prize money could be higher if there are more participants.
T-shirts: Tour Oklahoma 2008 T-shirts will be available at Honda of Stillwater. $10 for sizes Small to X-large, and $12 for sizes XX-large and XXX-large.
Tour Rules: To complete the Tour and be eligible for the cash awards, all twelve (12) locations listed must be visited and verified by December 1, 2008. Verification of visiting each location will be a photograph of the participant with their motorcycle in front of a public building (Post Office, Police Office, Fire Station, Library, Chamber of Commerce, etc.) or a sign bearing the name of the town or place. Place photograph verifications for each location along with this completed entry form in a sealed envelope and mail or bring to Honda of Stillwater, Tour Oklahoma 2008, 2607 East Sixth Avenue, Stillwater, OK 74074 before closing on December 2, 2008. Mailed entries must be postmarked no later than midnight December 2, 2008.
Kathy read off the list of towns and found that there are 12 stops with three in each quadrant of the state.
Confusion of Rides
We are getting confused as to which one is doing what. There are two different rides this year.
• Tour Oklahoma sponsored by Chapter X in Stillwater with 12 destinations.
• Oklahoma Grand Tour is sponsored by Oklahoma Honda-Suzuki of Del City. Books are $10 per person. Most of the rides have destinations which are festivals, or special events. You get bonus points if you attend the festivals and get a special receipt to turn in with your pictures and book. Grand prize is $1500 for 1st place. $500 for 2nd place. $500 to the largest club to enter and complete.
Wes will email the details to everyone so you can decide if you want to join one or both or none.
Chapter Rides
Kathy has found this ride that you might be interested in. Hobart has a Poker Run on Saturday, May 24th. Chapter "A" is one of the sponsors.
Chapter "X" and Chapter "N" are hosting a ride called "The Night of the Sacrificial Insect" on July 5 to Remington Park.
Beavers Bend State Park Ride
Our 2-Day Ride to Beavers Bend State Park is ready and eager to take off. Doy and Darliene have everything ready and are just waiting for that Saturday, May 10th to head out. We'll meet at Cracker Barrel and leave at 7:00 am. If Doy is sick, then Billy and Susie will be our host as Grant has graciously offered the use of his Gold Wing for that ride. <laughter…> Then the day after the ride, Billy will buy Grant's cycle. Grant right now is only thinking of burnt orange fully loaded with three wheels and a trailer and thousands of lights.
GWRRA Number in Newsletter
No one showed any emotion at the start of the meeting indicating no one found their GWRRA number this month. The owners of the numbers were at the picnic - Bill and Susie Hope. Their number was in the Minutes where the 50/50 number was announced.
July Ride
As Sam and Angie are planning their two-day ride to Tahlequah on June 14-15, this leaves Saturday, June 7th open which normally would be our Saturday Ride Day. Wes asked if anyone was interested in having a Mystery Ride that day. Not much reaction, so we'll let everyone think on this for awhile.
Treasury Amount
Since Sam isn't here tonight, Grant reported that the newsletter states we have just over $600 in our account.
Region "H" Rally in Marshall
Paula finally stood up to give us an idea of how her trip to marshall went. They both went to a bunch of seminars. They met quite a few from the other Oklahoma chapters. More details can be found in the May Newsletter.
Two More Arrive
Jim and Sharon arrive from the Altus show. They did not win, but they said that Kathi did win 3rd place for her trike.
The Altus Show
Sharon said that Kathi's trike did win 3rd Place and it has no pinstriping yet. The two winning 1st and 2nd deserved to win. There was no competition to really compete against them.
Dinner Ride Selections
We decided to pick two dinner destinations so that the information in the newsletter will always have what's coming up for the current month. So, for the May Dinner Ride the selection is Dry Beaver Supper Club on May 24th. The June Ride will go to Meers on June 28th. There was some talk about alternating between Fridays and Saturdays but nothing was finalized.
Paula thought it would be nice to ride through the Refuge after we eat in May. There should be a full moon around that date.
Rider Educator for Chapter "L"
Kathy asked if anyone would be interested in taking this Educator position and take off with it. No one jumped up or down. Actually everyone slunk down even lower in their chairs. There goes "the no cycle left behind" opportunity.
50/50
No 50/50 at the picnic. There were no tickets available to raffle off.
Meeting Adjourned
Everyone was now granted permission to continue pigging out.

COY patch clarification
The patches are the responsiblity of the member. The COY "PIN" is what should be awarded to the COY member by the chapter.
