Bricktown Dinner Ride 8/28/2010

The Bricktown Dinner Ride was to have begun at Cracker Barrel at 4:30 PM, August 28, 2010. When the appointed time arrived, Danny "Smitty" Smith and I were there, ready to ride and having some good conversation. In our conversation we learned that neither of us were very excited about eating Italian food tonight. He was telling me that it was too bad we were scheduled for Spaghetti Warehouse, because he knew where we could have one of the best steaks around at the Cimmaron Steak House in OKC! STEAK?????? Well Smitty since we are the majority we can eat at any restaurant you wish! Fellow Angel Wings we can't begin to tell you how sorry we feel for you! Having missed this great dinner ride and all! The ride up to OKC was warm but pleasant with a nice breeze, and light traffic. Once at the Cimmaron Steak House the wait staff took pretty good care of us. They had a large crowd but we were seated within five minutes. I had the Sundance Kid, the house sirloin with rice and Texas toast, fried mushroom appetizer, and a gallon of iced tea for a very reasonable price. They offered fresh cobblers and cheese cake, but who has room after a meal like that? Heck! We didn't stop at Braums for ice cream, so you know we were full! The ride back to Lawton was very nice, around 80 degrees, but it felt cooler. Again light traffic. Just a very nice, relaxing ride! Hope to see you all at the next month's dinner ride! Ride Safe!
