Chapter "L" contributes to the Lawton Food Bank

Chapter "L" members, Max & Mary Rowlett, delivered 67 pounds of food stuff donated by Chapter L Angel Wings  to the Lawton Food Bank.  Ms. Jeri Mosiman and her staff were pleased to receive the donations, and thank you for your generosity. The Lawton Food Bank is always in need of more food and/or money donations to fill the growing requests from families struggling to make ends meet in these hard times. When we asked what they needed most, the staff said they normally  receive a lot of green beans and corn, so macoroni & cheese mix, peanut butter, and canned meats would add variety. The food bank does have refrigerator space for frozen chicken, hams, and turkeys. They are beginning to assemble holiday boxes for the Thanksgiving & Christmas Holidays, so any contributions of traditional holiday menu items such as yams, asparagus, cornbread mix, hams and turkeys would be very helpful! Money is always a helpful donation! I'm told that Jeri Mosiman can pinch a penny until it squea  aeaaaals, and purchase $3.00 of food for every dollar donated.
